You Can’t Enter Something New Until You Leave the Old!

Next time you get into a traffic jam or a line of people of some sort, take a moment to shout out to the delay, “God says, Move forward!”

Well, in this world of crazy happenings, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend you do that but, don’t you feel like it? When things get bogged down, don’t you just feel like shouting, “Let’s get going!”

Listen very carefully:

God has a great plan for you! I know that many are coming out of recent hardships or are in present struggles. Nevertheless, God is calling you out of your current state into a place of higher blessing and growth. Recently, we’ve talked about receiving a dream from God. Remember one important lesson of those talks:

You can’t enter into something new until you leave the old!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result!

It is time to move forward! I didn’t say that it is time to move on. Moving on implies we leave where we are carrying the baggage of the past with us. Therefore, the new place we come to is contaminated with the poison of the old place! Now, God is saying, “move forward!” This means that we are not just changing locations but we are changing direction!

Do you want to go in a direction that includes blessing and anointing and maturity in God?

God used this simple scripture in 1 Samuel, chapter sixteen, verse one to give me direction to release to you today regarding moving forward. Are you ready to receive it?

  1. Stop trying to make your “Saul” into a “David”.

So many are stuck in a bad situation because they are trying to transform something that chooses death into something that chooses life! Many have set up camp in “hell” refusing to leave because they are emotionally or financially invested in the “old” of their life!

There comes a time when God says, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from carrying my authority!”

I have a couple of remarks for you today:

If you’re going through hell, for goodness sakes, don’t stop and make camp!

If you want authority, move to the King’s palace instead of Humpty Dumpty’s house!

It is time for you to stop playing “God” and get in step with His Spirit! If you want a “puppy,” stop trying to change a turkey into one! Get rid of the turkey and find a puppy, if you catch my drift!

  1. If you can’t see from where you are, move to where you can!

We are in a season of open doors in the Spirit. God is revealing things to people right now! Some of you say, “I can’t seem to get anything from God!” If you’re at your daughter’s graduation and you’re in a seat where you can’t see, are you going to stay there!

If it is important enough to you, you’ll move! Say out loud to yourself, “If it’s important enough to you, you’ll move!”

Revelation 4:1 “After these things I looked, and behold a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, ‘Come up here, and I will show you some stuff!”

If you’re sitting behind a pole in the Spirit don’t wait for the pole to move, you move where you can see!

Instead of crying, start sliding! Jesus is saying, “Come up here!”

  1. Get someone to help you refill your oil!

In the place God is sending you to, there is a fresh anointing! That’s a good place to shout!

Your oil can be used up real quickly when you’re having a constant drain and with no refills! You better find those who deal in the distribution of oil and get close to them!

How will I know them?

Follow Jesus direction. He’ll lead you straight to them. Once you find them, make camp there! All the king’s horses, men, and oil is not working on Humpty Dumpty. Once you stop trying to turn hell into heaven and move to where God is calling you, the oil of the Spirit will be poured upon you in such a measure that you’ll be refreshed!

  1. Receive a new anointing.

The anointing oil was used in biblical days for two types of people: priests and kings. Priests moved in the Presence of God. Kings moved in the authority of God! This is the season of experiencing new authority but you must get into the position God is pointing to so that you can receive it.

Don’t stay in “hell” and try to make it heaven! Don’t try and turn a turkey into a puppy! Don’t just move on, carrying the baggage of the past! It’s time to move forward! If you make these hard choices, God will meet you with the sure mercies of David!!!!
