No one is perfect.
We’ve all heard that saying. Perfection is not what I want to talk about.
It seems as if everyone; no matter how successful has one area of their life that never seems to bear fruit.
I think you know what I mean. Most of us have areas that seem to click along great but there is that one area which we never seem to see bear any fruit – it always seems to disappoint no matter how much effort we put into it.
I know – I have my area just like you. After dealing with these areas over and over; desperately trying to see them produce something, it is so easy to simply give up and allow that part of your faith or life just lie fallow – unattended. It often seems easier to try and ignore something that is not working rather than trying to expect something that never happens.
But, that fallow part of our life is always there, just across the fence. It refuses to be ignored because its lack of production affects our lives as a whole.
Are you tired of being mocked by your fallow field?
I want to challenge you today.
I believe that this is the year that God is going to make fallow fields produce!
I know, I know – you don’t believe it. I get it.
So many are tired of expecting, but, listen to this. I truly believe that God is saying that this is the time that He has set aside to do supernatural things in places in your life that have not experienced growth before. These places not only defy you – they defy God’s word! God is invested in seeing you produce fruit.
John 15:8: “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”
Your fruit production does two things:
It reveals you as Christ’s disciple.
It glorifies the Father.
Many people get dejected regarding unfulfilled expectations because they don’t understand the concept of spiritual seasons. Seasons in the Spirit are as real as the four seasons of nature. I believe that God is saying that the season is changing for you and that it is time for you to produce fruit in some areas that have never borne fruit before!
So, what do you do?
Listen closely to the Spirit. Open yourself up to something new. Resist the temptation to expect nothing. Believe God is the Lord of the seasons of your life. Thank God for His omnipotence in your life. Speak to your field.
That’s right – I said speak to it! Many of you have worked it but have also cursed it because it didn’t respond! If God says to do anything to it, do it; if not – speak to your field and command it to respond to the word of God!
Remind yourself that this is for the Lord’s glory! Jesus is calling your “Lazarus” out of the tomb in this season! So, let’s shout and praise His holy name!
