Could something happen that has never happened before?

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him–but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

This is a word for some of you “veterans” in the Lord…..

Could it be that something is in the “works” in your life that has never happened before? I know, I know – you’ve seen it all and especially after a difficult season, you are cynical about seeing the miraculous manifest after a season of warfare.

But, the same God who blew your mind at your salvation is still the God of the “over and above”. He has not changed – He is the same God who spread a table in the wilderness. He is still the same God who brought water out of a rock. He is still the same God who raised Lazarus from the dead. I know, its hard to believe when you’ve been waiting, but I believe that He has something in store that we will not be able to look at and say, “Hey, I’ve seen that before!”

God delights in expanding your revelation of who He is. I believe He is preparing something for you right now that your eyes have never seen before; that your ears have never heard of in your life and that your mind simply cannot conceive of because your tent cords are a little too restrictive!

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left…” Isaiah 54:2

Are you being stretched? Instead of destruction, God decrees expansion! Trust Him with the process!

Revelation by the Spirit is being released – God is being revealed in a new way and something is happening for you that has never happened before!!!!

  1. This is confirmation, affirmation, every “ation” I can think of! God’s character is such that He would never allow the hard times we go through for no reason at all. I liken it to exercise – it’s painful when I haven’t had much exercise but as I continue to build muscle, the pain subsides and I begin to desire more of a work out. Same with Father God – the first launch into growth is painful and every new lesson may begin in pain but the stretching brings us into new territory. As we build “spiritual muscle” not only can we handle the hard times better but God sees we are willing to work through the hurt and brings us to new experiences, new responsibilities, etc. The pain of growth will probably never get easier on this earth but knowledge that it is part of the growth process does make the walk worthwhile. And as we remind ourselves to stay close in the dust of God’s presence, He shields and comforts us. God is faithful.
